New Model
The kids that were in Juvenile Justice seemed to have one thing in common. When they were at home, they had little to no parental guidance, and their parents were encouraging them to do drugs or drink alcohol. This stood out to me because I always thought that it was all the child's fault, but now I understand that parents had a lot of impact on their past.

Healing and Change
"Your therapist told you only about your physical healing. That's the easy part. Healing up there (emotional) is much harder to do." -Rosie
Cole had just been attacked by the Spirit Bear, and his body needed to heal from that. But he needed to heal emotionally from the attack as well. He had to learn how to deal with his anger and forgiveness, and eventually help heal Peter from his anger and fear of Cole. One can forgive, but they'll never forget. People with Native American culture, like in Touching Spirit Bear, they tend to think more on the emotional healing than the physical healing.

Totem
Two years ago I did a meditation and I found that my totem animal was the White Tailed Deer. It represents gentleness, beauty, and adventure. An important thing is that the deer comes into your life when you either need to be more gentle to yourself, or to people around you. That is very true for me.
